Decorative Paper Flower Workshop with Pom Pom Factory

  • Kindred House Margate UK (map)
£70.00

Learn how to create an-everlasting decorative display for the festive season at our botanical paper workshop with Pom Pom Factory.

In this hands-on workshop, Karen will guide you through the process of creating a range of festive-inspired botanicals, crafted from fine Italian crepe paper and wire.

She will then demonstrate the different ways in which you can use your handmade paper creations, choosing whether to string them up as part of a statement hanging installation, or arrange them as a festive table runner display.

In this class you will learn all the basic skills of sculpting with crepe paper and will be able to continue the craft as a fun activity at home with friends and family.

All materials and equipment will be provided, as well as festive treats and refreshments on the day.

Should you wish to book in to stay a night with us at Kindred House for this event, please send us a request through our booking enquiry form. Alternatively you can also book our Festive Botanical Retreat Weekend for an all-inclusive two-night stay at Kindred House with full access to both our weekend workshops.

During our events, the guest house is reserved for the attendees who receive a 15% discount on their stay. Rooms are limited & tend to get booked quickly so get in touch early to avoid disappointment.

The workshop is limited to 8 places to ensure a safe working environment. If dates need to change due to Covid, you’ll be able to swap to the new date or obtain a refund if you’re unable to make the new date. Otherwise tickets are non-refundable.

Karen Hsu is the founder and creative director of Pom Pom Factory. Born in Hong Kong and educated at Central Saint Martins, Karen started making pom poms as visual merchandising props for independent shops in East London. Since then, she’s turned her paper craft into large-scale installations made from paper flowers of all varieties.

Exhibiting an array of styles, artistic techniques and unique concepts, Karen’s installations have shown in interior spaces and events in locations such as Soho House, Selfridges, Sketch London and Liberty.
