We are kicking off our aromatherapy workshop series with a session focusing on the home, in true Kindred House spirit!

Join aromatherapist Abi for this practical, immersive workshop where you will learn the basics of how to use essential oils safely and effectively in and around the house.

Plenty of essential oils are ideal for use in the home on a daily basis and many of the beneficial and pleasurable ways in which they can be enjoyed, are linked to longstanding household traditions of using botanical plants and aromatics. Using natural aromatics is an easy and rewarding experience that also provides a healthy, natural substitute for the many synthetic and chemical products with which we are surrounded.

Synthetic fragrances do not have the subtle balance of constituents, nor the therapeutic qualities of real essential oils. They can also cause allergies, which are a common feature of our modern lifestyle where we are subjected to all kinds of artificial scents and perfumes on a daily basis, especially within household products.

We will explore the numerous beneficial properties of essentail oils and explore how they can be utilised and tailored to suit your individual needs and preferences, from creating mood-enhancing room fragrances, to DIY home cleaning products, aromatic bathing, to keeping bugs at bay! You will learn plenty of practical tips to make many daily activities more pleasurable with the use of natural aromatics.

You will then make a restorative bath salt soak using top quality essential oils and natural ingredients. Of course, anyone staying at Kindred House over the weekend will be more than welcome to indulge in a soak in our roll top bath to test out their finished product!

All of the ingredients, materials and equipment for the workshop are supplied by Aqua Oleum.

Ticket price includes your own ‘Blending Notebook’, which contains plenty of information and recipe ideas, along with all the theory to get you started making your own aromatic elixirs at home, as well of plenty of space to take notes of what you learn and do on the day.

Refreshments will be provided.

Should you wish to book in to stay a night with us at Kindred House for this event, please send us a request through our booking enquiry form. Alternatively you can also book our ‘Aromatherapy Retreat Weekend’ for an all-inclusive two-night stay at Kindred House with full access to both our weekend workshops.

During our events, the guest house is reserved for the attendees who receive a 15% discount on their stay. Rooms are limited & tend to get booked quickly so get in touch early to avoid disappointment.

1-2-1 skin consultations or aromatherapy facial treatments with Abi are also available upon request over the weekend. Please get in touch for more details.

The workshop is limited to 6 places to ensure a safe working environment. If dates need to change due to Covid, you’ll be able to swap to the new date or obtain a refund if you’re unable to make the new date. Otherwise tickets are non-refundable.
